Hinjewadi is the technology town of Pune city and the most
famous IT hub of Indian state of Maharashtra located on the NH4 bypass road.
Hinjewadi was originally a small village which is now the location for Rajiv
Gandhi Infotech Park that houses number of software companies.
Until the construction of Rajiv Gandhi IT Park this region
was completely rural part of Pune city. This huge project of Rajiv Gandhi
Infotech Park is divided into four phases in which first two phases are already
completed, third phase is under construction and fourth phase is already
planned. The IT hub of Pune Hinjewadi houses many software companies such as
Infosys, Wipro, IBM India, Hexaware Technologies, Idea Cellular, KPIT Cummins,
Tata Consultancy Services, Tech Mahindra, Geometric Limited, Cognizant and also
houses many product companies such as Compulink and CISCO.
This region is rapidly developing and due to which Hinjewadi
is facing serious traffic problems during peak hours and it is not allowed to
enter in this region due to congestion on the roads because around 3 to 5 Lacs
of workers daily travel to and from this region. The rapid development of Hinjewadi
and nearby areas, the property prices have skyrocketed and number of real
estate companies like Paranjape and Kumar Industries has already begun the construction
in this area.
Hinjewadi is a popular region of Pune city and number of
business travelers visits this place many times and therefore the area consists
